Acting Governor Heru Monitors Cheap Market at Papanggo Urban Village

Ahead of Eid ul Fitr 2024, Jakarta Provincial Government held cheap staple food bazaar at Papanggo Urban Village Office, Tanjung Priok Sub-district, North Jakarta, Saturday (4/6).

I hope it can be held once a month

Acting Jakarta Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, directly monitored the implementation together with North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim; North Jakarta Dandim 0502, Col. Tofan Tri Anggoro BS; and North Jakarta Resort Police Chief, Gideon Arif Setyawan.

Cheap Staple Food Market Held at Nagrak Flat

"Today was the last bazaar ahead of long holiday. It was held from the morning," he said, as quoted from Jakarta Provincial Government's press release.

Heru added that the program will be held again after Eid's long holiday.

"It will be held again in two or three days after long holiday. Please remind that this is not a social assistance," he added.

There were 1,500 staple food packages prepared by Perumda Pasar Jaya and Perumda Dharma Jaya. Various staple foods were sold there. There were also additional commodities such as curly chili, cayenne pepper, and red onion.

Heru also appreciated the sinergy of North Jakarta Resort Police and North Jakarta Kodim 0502 for guarding the area during homecoming season.

"Thanks for both sides in guarding the area during homecoming season," he added.

Meanwhile, Wati, one of residents at RT 05/07, Papanggo Urban VIllage, admitted happy with the program.

"The price at the bazaar is cheaper compared to the market. I hope it can be held once a month," she admitted.
